i love this song

so i thought that i would share a link to listen to “meer sehn” by der junge mit der gitarre. i have a cd with a more acoustic version, but this is what i found online.

bit of explanation: it’s in german.

the title of the song roughly translated: sea seein’ (or seeing the sea in better english)

i love the language since meer (sea) and mehr (more) are pronounced the same and become a wordplay: immer mehr von meer sehen (always more from sea seeing = always see more of the sea).

each time i hear it i’m transported to a calm, idyllic place along the sea watching seagulls fly (moven fliegen) and listening to the sounds (lausche dem rausche) of the waves crashing and breathing in the salty air…
