No, I’m not dead
I apologize that it has been so long since last I posted.
2.5 months to be precise.
What happened this summer?
Allow me to elaborate…
1. June vacation trip.
Gone from ND for almost 3 weeks (short about 16 hours) to SD, Nashville, Iceland, and Germany.
Saw family, rode Icelandic ponies, watched whales, saw beautiful churches big and small, introduced a sister to the host family (kinda fun to have the two worlds collide in the chaos of language barriers), walked a lot (island, forest, city), and met up with old friends.
Was fantastic to reconnect with people who were big parts of my life and still remain important.
2. Walked another 5k.
This one in McVille and decided only the night before to participate.
Fantastic walking buddies helped it be a highly enjoyable morning.
3. Conference in Nashville for Young Clergywomen.
Loved connecting with women across the world who are passionate about their calling as ministers to God’s people while also being honest about balancing personal and professional lives.
Highlights include conversations, helpful workshops, and worship while getting a pedicure.
Stayed with Kayla and toured downtown Nashville.
4. Officiated at weddings, near and far. Parish and friends.
5. Visited Storybook Land.
Not as cool as I remember from 15ish years ago…
6. Cool weather meaning open windows letting fresh air inside.
7. Lots of time reading.
But I’m sure you would rather see pictures, so feel free to admire the beauty found across the world in many and varied places.
